Haitian Art by Jeanne Elie Joseph Rigaud. Jeanne Elie–Joseph Rigaud was born in Port au Prince, Haiti in 1926. She grew up in a family of artists but her vocation was not revealed until late in life. She experimented with various subjects and mediums but became known for painting children and young girls.
